We didn’t need a crisis to tell us that people are hurting. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, 43% of households in our community did not earn enough money to cover their basic needs. We know that the needs have never been more urgent than they are today, and that what began as a health crisis has resulted in economic devastation for those who were already vulnerable and struggling.

We don’t plan to go “back to normal.” We plan to reimagine a new normal that results in a more equitable and resilient community.

RESPOND. RECOVER. REIMAGINE. REBUILD.

What we do today, will set the foundation of our collective recovery, and we are committed to rebuilding one neighborhood at a time. United Way is unparalleled in our power to convene partners, providers, and resources to address the needs of our community, but we can’t do our work alone.

Generosity has always been at the foundation of our community, and today that generosity is growing to meet a new challenge. It will be because of YOU that we continue meeting these needs as more individuals and families than ever before search for stability in the aftermath.
