Ready to Grow St. Joe will be hosting an Early Learning Summit on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. The event will take place at the Gillespie Conference & Special Event Center from 8:30AM – 12:00PM.
Early learning is not just a “theoretical” issue, but a very real one centered around economic development, health, and well-being. Dr. Paul Haut of Riley’s Children’s Hospital says that children are impacted by “toxic stress,” a result of their environment linked to hunger, abuse, unsanitary surroundings, and lack of compassion and love. This issue impacts them for their entire lives. Many of our neighbors, including those in your workforce, struggle to find and afford high-quality care and early learning. We’re working hard to make sure every young child in our community has the foundation to thrive in school, work, and life.
“By laying the crucial groundwork for tomorrow’s workforce and promoting a strong workforce today, high-quality childcare provides a powerful two-generation approach to building the human capital that a prosperous and sustainable America requires.” – U.S. Chamber Foundation
Attend the summit to learn how you can play a role in making quality early learning opportunities a reality in our community.
