UNITED WAY DISTRIBUTES ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO 13 PARTNERS IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

As of May 26, 2020, United Way of St. Joseph County (UWSJC) has distributed a total of $596,550 back to the community to fund 34 local not-for-profit partners through the COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund. Allocations from the Fund reflect critical needs and are released on a rolling basis throughout the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis, making it possible to move resources quickly in response to the evolving impact.

This is the third distribution of funds that are going to essential not-for-profit partners serving the most vulnerable. President and CEO Laura Jensen said, “We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received from the community which has allowed us to fund programs that are vital to those impacted by COVID-19. We’re proud to have the resources that will allow us to serve the community as individuals and families search for stability in the aftermath of this pandemic.”
